Why should I buy LOEVENSTEIN when there are cheaper products available?
Because LOEVENSTEIN does not manufacture simple tools, but collector's items. Those who just want to tamp down will find cheaper alternatives. However, those looking for something special - something unique - will find it with us.
How are the tampers and levelers manufactured?
Each piece is handmade and produced in small batches. We use selected materials such as whiskey barrel wood, lava rock, or bamboo and combine them with solid stainless steel in gold, silver, or copper finishes. This makes each tool unique.
Are the products food safe?
Yes. All metal parts are made of high-quality stainless steel (at least 304, food-safe). The surfaces of the handles are carefully oiled or sealed.
Are the tampers and levelers compatible with all portafilter machines?
Our tampers and levelers are manufactured with a standard diameter of 58 mm, making them compatible with most professional and home espresso machines.
What does “limited” mean?
Each edition is produced in a limited quantity - often fewer than 50 pieces worldwide. Every product bears a serial number and a certificate of authenticity.
Will I receive a certificate for my product?
Yes. Every LOEVENSTEIN tool comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity, sealed in an envelope with wax and embossing.
